The Opportunity

Radford University invites applications and nominations for a 9-month Instructor, Special Purpose Faculty of Nursing in the College of Nursing’s Undergraduate Department on the university’s main campus. This full-time faculty role supports the prelicensure BSN track and offers an opportunity to help shape the academic and professional development of the next generation of nurses. Special purpose faculty hold continuing appointments (renewable every 1–3 years) with rank, promotion opportunities, and full benefits.

The selected faculty member will join a student-centered and mission-driven College of Nursing committed to innovative teaching, strong faculty engagement, and continuous program improvement. Responsibilities include classroom instruction, skills laboratory teaching, and clinical supervision in both acute care and community settings. Faculty play a key role in preparing students for dynamic healthcare careers through rigorous, evidence-based education and meaningful mentorship.
