The Opportunity
Texas Tech University invites applications for a full-time, 12-month Dean of Libraries, with an anticipated start date of July 1, 2026. The successful candidate will be a proven, innovative, and collaborative leader who brings strategic vision and entrepreneurial thinking to advance teaching, research, service, outreach, and engagement across the university. Working closely with university advancement, the dean will also play a key role in promoting and supporting development efforts for the University Library.
Reporting to the Provost, the Dean of Libraries serves as the chief administrator for a dynamic and multifaceted library system, providing leadership for the University Library, Architecture Library, Peters Family Legacy Library, Southwest Collection/Special Collections, and the Costa Rica Library. This is an exceptional opportunity for an accomplished, forward-thinking leader to shape the future of academic libraries at a major research institution.
