The Opportunity

The Connecticut State Colleges & Universities (CSCU) invites nominations, applications, and expressions of interest for the next President of Charter Oak State College.

Following an outstanding 18-year tenure, the current president will retire in June 2026. The next president will have the opportunity to lead Connecticut’s only public, fully online institution as it enters its next phase of strategic growth and innovation.

Recognized by Forbes as one of America’s Top Colleges in 2026, Charter Oak is nationally known for delivering flexible, affordable, and workforce-relevant education for adult learners.

Reporting to the CSCU Chancellor, the president will provide strategic, academic, financial, and operational leadership while advancing the college’s mission of expanding access and transforming lives through online education.
