Radford University invites nominations and applications for the position of Assistant Vice President for Health Sciences. This position will help advance the region’s growing health and life sciences sector while connecting Radford’s health sciences programs across Roanoke, Radford, and the broader region. Reporting to the Provost and serving on the Academic Affairs leadership team, the Assistant Vice President will play a central role in shaping the future of health sciences education at Radford, including plans for a new purpose-built Health Science Center in Roanoke’s Innovation Corridor.
The Assistant Vice President will provide visionary and collaborative leadership to expand enrollment in healthcare disciplines, strengthen workforce development partnerships, and support innovative, community-engaged programming. A key focus of the role includes leading a new center dedicated to addressing rural and regional health disparities through a social determinants of health approach, as well as securing grant funding, advancing interprofessional education initiatives, and fostering strategic partnerships aligned with Radford University’s mission to improve health outcomes across Southwest and Southside Virginia.
