The University Council for Educational Administration (UCEA), the premier professional organization dedicated to advancing educational leadership, invites nominations and applications for the position of Executive Director. At a pivotal moment for both educational leadership and professional associations nationwide, UCEA seeks a visionary and collaborative leader to guide the organization into its next chapter of impact, innovation, and service.
The Executive Director will serve as the intellectual and operational steward of UCEA, partnering closely with the Executive Committee, professional staff, and a diverse international membership of scholars and practitioners. This leader will oversee organizational strategy, governance, fiscal operations, publications, conferences, and member engagement while advancing UCEA’s mission to strengthen educational leadership research, policy, and practice. The ideal candidate will bring a deep commitment to equity and inclusion, demonstrated expertise in educational leadership, and the ability to bridge research, practice, and policy across multiple audiences and sectors.
Founded to advance the preparation and development of educational leaders, UCEA represents 114 colleges and universities across the United States and internationally. The organization plays a leading role in shaping scholarship, professional development, and policy conversations that influence educational leadership nationally and globally.
