Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU) invites nominations and applications for the Executive Director of the Shady Rest Institute on Positive Aging, a university-wide institute within the Marieb College of Health & Human Services.
Established in 2022, the Institute advances interdisciplinary research, education, and community partnerships focused on aging, lifespan, and healthspan. Located in one of the fastest-aging regions in the nation, FGCU is uniquely positioned to emerge as a regional and national leader in positive aging and lifespan innovation.
Reporting to the Dean and serving on the College’s administrative team, the Executive Director will help shape and execute the Institute’s strategic vision, foster interprofessional collaboration across campus, and build sustainable programs, partnerships, and funding that expand the Institute’s impact across Southwest Florida and beyond.
This is an exciting opportunity for an innovative, entrepreneurial, and collaborative leader to bridge academia, community, and industry—advancing research, education, and initiatives that enhance quality of life across the lifespan.
