West Chester University invites applications and nominations for the position of Associate Vice President for University Communications and Marketing.
West Chester University seeks an innovative and strategic leader to serve as Associate Vice President for University Communications and Marketing. The AVP will serve as the university’s principal media spokesperson and communications strategist, leading media relations, digital and social media, marketing, branding, publications, photography, and internal communications.
The successful candidate will bring exceptional communication and relationship-building skills; 8–10 years of progressively responsible leadership experience in communications, marketing, public relations, or a related field; proven experience in media relations, crisis communications, integrated marketing, brand management, and team leadership; and a bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, public relations, journalism, or a related field, with a master’s degree preferred. Experience in higher education, the greater Philadelphia media market, CRM systems, analytics, marketing technologies, and emerging tools such as AI is preferred.
